Saturday, August 15th, 2009

DCA added to its engineering staff with the hiring of Arkadiusz Gdowski in the fall of 2008. Arek, 27, was born in Otwock, Poland. He finished Warsaw University of Technology with a Master Degree in Aeronautical Engineering and moved to the United States 2 years ago. After he married his wife, Julie, and received the status of permanent resident, he looked for a career in engineering. He found a great opportunity at Dehumidifier Corporation of America, where he works as an engineer assistant.

Arek has been the driving force in creating our new product specification data literature. He says, learning new things everyday he increases his knowledge about dehumidification. In the future he would like to follow in his colleague’s shoes and become an application engineer.

New DCA Catalog for R-407C Dehumidification Units

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

As you are aware, come January 1, 2010, we will no longer be producing R22 units. In compliance with Federal regulations DCA will be phase out all R22 refrigerant based equipment by the end this year. We will be changing over our entire line to R-407C. This is the only politically correct refrigeration choice we will have; we will not offer units in R-410A at this time.

As you can imagine, this is a monumental task. We will have several new model numbers and will in fact add two new unit sizes. DCA has been working for months on creating new data sheets for the dehumidifiers and all of our accessories. Once our data specification sheets are done, we will be updating our web site Model Specifications and will make all of our literature available online.
